About the building

The "Berliner Bogen" is certainly one of the more distinctive commercial properties the Hanseatic city has to offer. Extraordinary construction and award-winning architecture are the hallmarks of this building. On the edge of Hamburg's city centre, at Berliner Tor, the office complex in Hammerbrook was opened in 2002 after a construction period of a good three years.

Over a length of approximately 140 metres, the building spans the end of the kilometre-long flood basin. On both banks, the steel arches curve in a parabolic shape over the canal to a height of 36 metres. The energy requirements of the office building have been minimised through the use of renewable energies, winter gardens and state-of-the-art façade technology. Winter gardens were also incorporated.

Attractive, bright and prestigious office space with flexible layout options characterises working here. In total, the building, whose glass façade is cooled by the water below, offers around 32,000 square metres of office space for 1,200 workstations.
