About the building
The building by the well-known Kontorhaus architect Georg Radel (1860-1948) was erected at the beginning of the last century as a reinforced concrete structure to meet the highest standards of a Hamburg banking house, and then underwent a comprehensive core refurbishment in 2020. The original character of the Kontorhaus has, however, been clearly preserved in the rear building. The property is located directly on Rödingsmarkt and thus on one of the most important connecting axes between the city centre and HafenCity.
Its location in the Altstadt therefore provides access to all bus and train lines as well as a wide range of restaurants and shops for everyday needs. The property's main tenant is the HSBA with its new campus, which covers an area of more than 7,000 m² and is therefore omnipresent in the building.
