About the building

Rien ne va plus. No more bets. Statements frequently heard at the Esplanade in Hamburg's Neustadt district – albeit in the neighbouring casino. In the fourteen-storey office building at Esplanade 39, the opposite is the case: here, quite a lot is possible. The building, which underwent listed-building refurbishment between 2002 and 2003, stands out for its delicate steel curtain wall façade with light blue enamelled spandrel panels and mid-blue mullions – the property sits almost perfectly alongside the neighbouring Esplace and the Finnlandhaus.
