About the building

The unmistakable DOCKLAND is located directly on the water between the Edgar-Engelhard-Kai and the Fischereihafen. It was built to designs by the Hamburg star architect Hadi Teherani and, through its architectural resemblance to a ship's hull, creates an excellent link between the location and the use of the building. The building projects 40 metres over the Elbe, like a ship's bow, thus opening the gateway to Hamburg.
