About the building

The time has finally come! After a long wait, the TICHELHAUS (Low German for "brick house") will be presented in a new design from 2024.

Hard to believe, but the office and commercial building was originally constructed back in 1956 and is located in the immediate vicinity of Rödingsmarkt. In the meantime it has become clear: this 1950s building will be replaced by a modern and sustainable new development by the end of 2024. The future Tichelhaus will be a mix of living and working, offering apartments along the canal as well as attractive office space (some units with terraces) and retail/food and beverage space on the ground floor.

Whether Neustadt, or crossing the Holzbrücke into the historic Speicherstadt and HafenCity, everything can be reached on foot within a few minutes. One thing, however, has not changed: the TICHELHAUS still looks out over the Cremon peninsula and the Elbphilharmonie, with the Nikolaifleet to the rear. 😊
