About the building
The High-Tech-Center is accessed via two entrances on Holzmühlenstraße. From the foyer, which is laid with old floorboards, a passenger lift takes you conveniently up to your new office space. The large window fronts, combined with light floorboards and high ceilings, create bright, welcoming offices flooded with daylight. The industrial character, paired with modern fittings, makes the High-Tech-Center a representative location for your company. Parts of the office space have ceiling heights of 3.50 m and windows facing in all directions.
The High-Tech-Center was designed and built in 1910 in the Hamburg district of Wandsbek by the well-known Hamburg architect Fritz Höger. This renowned architect built a large number of well-known Hamburg office buildings (Kontorhäuser). The best known of these is probably the Chilehaus, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015. In keeping with expressionist architecture, this handsome red brick building presents clear lines and is decorated with details from the animal world. On the façade above each of the entrances, for example, there are two brass eagles.
The immediate surroundings of Holzmühlenstraße cover all everyday needs. Various restaurants and bistros on Wandsbeker Zollstraße provide culinary options. Anyone wishing to do something for their health during the lunch break will find a gym on Walddörferstraße. Although the building is very central and well connected, there is no noticeable background noise here.
